Update 24.6.1: Tax exemption rules and other POS enhancements

The latest Eats365 POS update introduces tax exemption rules, searching for orders using receipt number, a sound alert for completed self checkout payments, font size options for Star Dot Matrix printers, and a setting to include or exclude the transaction’s dining mode on the receipt.

New feature: Tax exemption rules
You can create rules that prevent certain taxes from applying to items when their subtotal meets your specified criteria. For example, you can set Tax A to apply without any conditions, and set Tax B to only apply if the item subtotal amounts to $10 or more.

Enhancements
- Larger font sizes now supported for Star Dot Matrix printers
- Previously unsupported, you can now print the following texts in larger font sizes using Star Dot Matrix ticket printers:
- Ticket
- Remarks
- Fire label
- Hold label
- Order number
- Table name
- Previously unsupported, you can now print the following texts in larger font sizes using Star Dot Matrix ticket printers:
- Sound alert when a table completes payment through Self Checkout
- When a table settles their bill through Self Checkout, the POS will play an audio notification that lets staff know that a table has completed the payment using Self Checkout.
- To enable the sound alert, refer to Set up Dine-in settings.
- Display or exclude a transaction’s dining mode on the receipt
- When the Show Dining Mode near Order No. setting is enabled, the transaction’s dining mode will be printed on the receipt.

- Orders processed after the 2.61 POS update can be searched using their respective receipt number.
