New feature: Pre-order Prep Tool

The Pre-order Report now includes the Prep Tool, a downloadable production summary that consolidates all scheduled pre-orders for up to 7 days into a single spreadsheet. Kitchen teams can review aggregate ingredient and menu item quantities in advance to streamline batch preparation.

POS enhancements

• Modifier management improvements: Enhanced modifier configuration options across POS service modes:
  • Simplified Name: Enter an abbreviated label to shorten modifier option descriptions on kitchen tickets and the Kitchen Display System.
  • Priced default modifiers: Assign a default modifier option's price greater than 0. Previously, selections were restricted to 0 (no added cost).
  • Compact modifier display: Added a Compact display setting under System Preferences to compress modifier lists on the POS ordering screen (supported in Full Service, Quick Serve, Food Court).
• "Retry" tagging on printed item labels: Item labels that fail mid-print job and are printed upon recovery now include a "Retry" indicator to prevent kitchen staff from accidentally preparing duplicate items. This occurs when the POS successfully connects to the printer, initiates the print job, but the printer encounters a failure afterwards (Example: out of paper, paper jam, or mid-print hardware error). When the error is resolved, the POS can connect to the printer and resend the print job, resulting in a "Retry" tag. If the POS was not able to send the print job to the printer at all, the "Retry" tag will not trigger.
• Minimum iPadOS requirement updated to iPadOS 14.0: To download or update Eats365 applications from the App Store, devices must now run iPadOS 14 or later to ensure optimal system performance, app stability, and access to the latest security features. 

Merchant Portal enhancements

• Group and organization level Pre-order Reports: Generate consolidated Pre-order Reports across multiple store at the group or organization level for multi-unit demand forecasting.
• Bulk import Sales Categories: Map menu item revenue distribution across Sales Categories in bulk using Import Tools.
• Modifier Masters inventory exclusion in Menu Template: The "Skip Inventory Tracking Update" setting in Menu Template configurations now also applies to Modifier Masters, ensuring accurate inventory updates every time you apply a menu template.
• Daily Closing Report additions: Additional key information is now available in the Daily Closing Report, including:
  • e-Invoice issuance and voiding metrics (Taiwan): Added a tax invoice tracking fields.
    Note: This is only available for when generating the report for a single shop.
  • Pay In and Payout details: Added itemized tracking for register cash floats and petty cash adjustments.
• TapPay logging: The Event Log Report now records administrative changes to TapPay settings, ensuring important modifications in settings are tracked.
• Printing configuration cleanups: 
  • Receipt printing settings alignment: The receipt printing settings page was updated to ensure correct settings are available for each restaurant type:
    • Full Service: 
      • Added: Print Void Receipt when Item is Cancelled
    • Quick Service and Food Court: 
      • Added: Print Receipt when Order is Voided
      • Added: Print Void Receipt when Item is Cancelled
      • Removed: Print Receipt after Table Transfer
• Combo Item setup cleanup: The "Print Item Ticket" setting has been removed from the Combo Item setup page to ensure function accuracy.

iOS Queue Ticket Kiosk enhancements

• Hide queuing expiry message on queue tickets: You can now configure queue tickets to include or exclude the expiry message. Previously, when printing a ticket from an iOS Queue Ticket Kiosk, the system automatically included a default expiration message at the middle of every ticket. 
• New supported printer: Added native support for the Epson TM-m30III printer.
