Send POS diagnostics data to Eats365

Learn how to send POS log files to Eats365.

When troubleshooting, examining the Eats365 POS diagnostics data can help identify or narrow down the root cause of any issue. Diagnostics data mainly contains past print job data, which can provide valuable insights into potential connectivity or configuration problems. 

In this article, you’ll learn how to send diagnostics data to Eats365 from the POS.

Delete

Important:

  • If you have multiple POS terminals, it’s important to get the diagnostics data of each POS. For example, if your POS setup includes three POS terminals, make sure to send diagnostics data from each terminal.
  • The POS must be connected to the Internet when sending diagnostics data.

Turn on Debug Mode

Important: You only need to enable Debug Mode when advised by the Eats365 ServiceDesk team. Turn off Debug Mode once you’ve sent the necessary diagnostics data.

To enable Debug Mode on your POS, follow the steps below:

  1. Open the Eats365 POS.
  2. At the top right, tap Settings .
  3. Under "General," tap Preferences.
  4. Turn on Enable Debug Mode .
  5. Tap Enable to confirm.

Send diagnostics data from the POS

To send log files from the POS, follow the steps below:

  1. Open the Eats365 POS.
  2. At the top right, tap Settings .
  3. Under "Diagnostics," tap Send Diagnostics Data.
  4. Tap Yes to confirm.

This sends the POS log files to Eats365.
