Configure Customer Facing Display settings
Learn how to customize settings for the Customer Facing Display.
Changing the settings on the Customer Facing Display (CFD) allows you to customize the app’s layout and behavior based on your preferences.
In this article, you’ll learn how to configure the Customer Facing Display to your preferred settings.
Change individual CFD settings
To change specific settings on a Customer Facing Display, follow the steps below:
- Log in to the Eats365 POS.
- At the top left, tap Settings .
- Under General, tap Device Pairing. Then, tap Customer Facing Display.
- Choose a setting, then change the options according to your preferences.
- At the top right, tap Save to confirm.
You can change the following options on the Customer Facing Display:
Display Language
Set the default display language to your preferred language.
Theme
Choose if you want the Customer Facing Display theme to use Dark mode or Light mode.
Change shared CFD settings
Shared settings are functions that are applied across all Customer Facing Displays. You can configure shared settings in the Merchant Portal.
To configure the CFD’s shared settings, follow the steps below:
Merchant Portal (Classic Theme)
- Log in to the Merchant Portal.
- On the left panel, click on Advanced Settings.
- Under Modules, select Customer Facing Display. Then, click on Shared Settings.
- Select if you want to display existing Item images on shuffle or show custom images.
- To show custom images, a Media Group must be set up.
- To show menu item images on shuffle, you must turn on permission for Photo Shuffle for all Items. For more information, refer to Set up and manage a Single Item or Set up and manage a Combo Item.
- At the top right, click on Save to confirm.
Merchant Portal 2.0
- Log in to the Merchant Portal.
- On the left panel, click on Modules. Then, select Customer Facing Display.
- Click on Shared Settings.
- Select if you want to display existing Item images on shuffle or show custom images.
- To show custom images, a Media Group must be set up.
- To show menu item images on shuffle, you must turn on permission for Photo Shuffle for all Items. For more information, refer to Set up and manage a Single Item or Set up and manage a Combo Item.
- At the top right, click on Save to confirm.
