    Create and manage Shop Tags

    Learn how to create and associate Shop Tags with restaurants to filter reports on the Merchant Portal.

    Handling multiple restaurants and want to generate reports only with select restaurants? Label your restaurants with “Shop Tags” to filter report results easily.

    In this article, you'll learn how to add shop tags to restaurants, modify and delete existing shop tags, and view the organization's shop tag association.

    Create a Shop Tag

    To add a new Shop Tag, follow the steps below:

    Important: Your user account must have Organization-level access to create Shop Tags.

    1. Log in to the Merchant Portal.
    2. On the left panel, click on Organization Settings Shop Tags.
    3. At the top right, click on + Create Shop Tag.
    4. Enter a name for the tag, then enable Active . You can also choose to activate the Shop Tag later by leaving Active disabled .
    5. Click on Create New Tag to save.

    Add Shop Tags to a restaurant

    To associate Shop Tags with a restaurant, follow the steps below:

    1. Log in to the Merchant Portal.
    2. On the left panel, click on Restaurant Settings Basic Information  Restaurant Information.
    3. Under "General Information," click on the Shop Tags drop-down and select the applicable Shop Tags.  
      Tip: You can also create new Shop Tags from this page. Just type your intended name for the new Shop Tag and select + Add "Shop Tag Name" as new tag.
    4. At the top right, click on Save.

    View a restaurant's associated Shop Tags

    Delete

    Important: Your user account must have Organization-level or Group-level access to view a restaurant's Shop Tags.

    To view the Shop Tags currently associated with a restaurant, follow the steps below:

    1. Log in to the Merchant Portal.
    2. On the left panel, click on Shop Management. The "Shop Management" page displays your restaurant branches, including the Shop Tags associated with each one.

    Delete

    Important: Your user account must have Organization-level access to manage Shop Tags.

    Modify a Shop Tag

    To edit an existing Shop Tag, follow the steps below:

    1. Log in to the Merchant Portal.
    2. On the left panel, click on Organization Settings Shop Tags.
    3. To update the tag's Active status, click on the toggle to change it. To change the tag's name, click on Edit , then enter the new name.

    Delete a Shop Tag

    To delete an existing Shop Tag, follow the steps below:

    1. Log in to the Merchant Portal.
    2. On the left panel, click on Organization Settings Shop Tags.
    3. Next to the Shop Tag you want to remove, click on Delete .
