Use member credits for payments

Learn how to redeem member credits to use for payments on the Eats365 POS.

Member credits are virtual funds added to a customer’s account, which can be used to pay for orders, in place of cash and other forms of payments. When credits are depleted, customers can easily top-up their credit balance by purchasing additional credits from the restaurant. 

In this article, you’ll learn how to use member credits for payments as well as top-up credits. 

Use member credits to process a payment

To use member credits to pay for an order, follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to the Eats365 POS.
  2. From the order-taking screen, at the top left, tap Add Customer.
  3. Enter the phone number, first name, or last name of the member.
  4. Tap Search to check if there’s an existing record of their membership.
  5. Tap the member’s name, then tap Add to order. 
  6. Tap Done to return to the order-taking screen. The member’s name appears above the order to confirm that the member has been successfully added.
    Note: Make sure that the member’s account has enough credits to process the payment. To add more credits to the customer’s account, refer to the section on how to top-up credits.
  7. Place the customer’s order as normal. Then, tap Pay.
  8. On the payment screen, select member credit as the tender method. The name of the member credit payment option depends on the Credit Balance name you set in the CRM settings.
  9. At the bottom right, tap Pay to proceed.
  10. If a membership card is required to redeem member credits, scan the QR Code associated with the customer’s membership card.

Top-Up credit balance

To add more credits to a member’s account, follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to the Eats365 POS.
  2. At the top right, tap Member . Then, search for the member’s account.
  3. Once you’ve found the correct account, tap Add Credit, and choose a Top-up Credit Item option.
  4. Tap Checkout. You’ll be redirected to the payment page.
  5. Choose the member’s preferred payment method, then tap Pay to finish.
